no, beerman doesn't compare to how ray was exploding off the snap, he was a step and a half a head of abraham on every snap, that's fast.

I thought the offense looked good, though they were better when mixing run and pass and in the hurry up. The defense played well but gave up some big plays. Guys were out of position. I 'm not worried so much about that because after we started the season giving up big plays it got fixed. It will again.

Anyone who thinks Ryan doesn't have the arm strength or accuracy to throw deep better rethink that. He finally has a target that can go deep for him.

Before I figured Jones would never be able to put up numbers like Moss in his rookie year. I was wrong. After three games I think he can do it. Heck in just a few plays in week 2 he made Redman look like a competent QB. Jones will make Ryan better, which is a scary thing.

I don't think the Steelers looked that good. Their offense relied too heavily on the big play which is more luck than anything. Also the cheap shots and no calls by their defense was sickening. How was the horse collar by Paulomalo on TG not called? There were late hits and little cracks all through the first half. I'm glad no one on our side got hurt. Karma bit them good with injuries last night.

This was Ray's first game back, if you'll notice, JA55 our ALL PRO DE didn't show up on the stat sheet either. Although he did help force a sack on Big Ben, and the same can be said for Edwards. It happens, our DTs getting more sacks isn't a bad thing, that means the pocket is collapsing around the outsides with proper contain, AND the pocket is being pushed up the middle. It's called defense, get used to it.

Besides it was his first game back, he played just fine, and he was explosive off the snap, quite explosive actually. That knee didn't look like it was bothering him at all. You could tell he wasn't in game shape though, there were many times he wasn't off the snap fast enough because he was still getting settled into his stance, it looked like he was a bit winded. S'ok though, that's what these games are for!

IMO he allowed himself to get pancaked on that one play to help his knees.

Technically we've replaced Jamal Anderson with Ray Edwards since Bierman is still on the team and will play a similar role, and since Edwards didn't have any sacks or tackles might as well say we haven't upgraded over JA98 if you're going to look at it that way. I mean if you're going to be absurd don't dabble in it go all in.
