Was OC for Georgia Tech's 1990 national championship team under Bobby Ross. Followed Ross to the Chargers, where he took a team with limited weapons (Humphries, Natron Means, Tony Martin) to the Super Bowl. Some of his best work was as OC for Tech in the late 90's under George O'Leary. His offenses with Joe Hamilton were the best in the country, and were regularly lauded as "unstoppable." His first year as head coach at Maryland, he took a moribund team and one the ACC and finished with a top-10 ranking. Generally speaking, he's a master at creating mismatches.
