Osi and Freeney are still options.

Elvis Dumervil - DL - Free Agent
The Denver Post reports free agent Elvis Dumervil was "underwhelmed" by the Broncos' most recent offer, and is planning to begin visiting other teams within the next 48 hours.
Denver reportedly made a three-year offer, but is now "prepared to move on." The Broncos will host free agents Dwight Freeney and John Abraham in the next 24 offers. With neither side appearing keen on a new deal, Dumervil is likely done in Denver. According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens still have "serious interest" in Dumervil, but have a "fairly tight" cap situation.

John Abraham - DL - Free Agent
Free agent John Abraham will visit the Broncos on Thursday.
The Broncos will host Dwight Freeney first, however, meaning there's a chance Abraham never makes it to Denver. Thus far, Abraham has visited the Seahawks and Patriots, but doesn't appear to have come close to a new deal. Per the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have determined Abraham is "not a fit."

Dwight Freeney - DL - Colts
Free agent Dwight Freeney will visit the Broncos on Wednesday.
ESPN reports the Broncos also "plan to host" free agent John Abraham. It's an indication Denver is moving on from free agent Elvis Dumervil, or at least trying to force him into a decision (again). Peyton Manning reportedly "wants" Freeney in Denver, and could be a key factor in whomever the Broncos end up going with at right end.

Looks like Elvis to Denver is no lock

Well spank me and call me Giddy, then. His last interview I saw he said with much conviction that his family and home is in Denver and that he fully expected to be there this season. That's what I was going off of. It's pretty convincing.

But if this story is accurate, then hopefully we can make an offer he will take. If we do get him, won't we all be thankful TD didn't jump on anyone else too early?

Let's all cross our fingers this is what TD was waiting for.

With no one talking about Osi, I wonder if there is a chance we're going after him.

We always do the under the radar stuff anyway.

I'm just not sure Osi is a Smitty kind of guy. Seems opinionated and vocal whenever anything doesn't go his way. That might not fit in our locker room. Then again, guys who come here tend to understand they have to shape up or get the boot. Edwards is a perfect example of non-compliance.

I think Osi is well worth the risk. but like beef said above he seems like a Ray Edwards player and not bout team aspect and more about himself.Osi has something to prove and chip on his shoudler but if we were going after Osi a deal would have been done unless TD is holding out to last min

I feel this week Elvis, Abe, Freeny will all be gone..even Osi

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I'll take him because the chance of Edwards situation striking us twice I just don't see happening. I think he would try his best to keep his mouth shut and help this team win a SB. Like you said, maybe play with a chip on his shoulder so he can shove it back in NYG fan's faces.

Guys who come here get a lesson and understand real quick this is a professional, respectful, and team oriented organization that's a privilege to be a part of and it makes them act differently, better, so they don't become an outcast. Blank, TD, and especially Smitty, have turned this locker room into this. And the players have bought in 1000%.

If Osi is signed, I will take that as a clear indication that we will stick with a 4-3 base. Osi can play OLB in a 3-4 but his main starting point is from a 4-3 formation with his hand on the ground.

It has been acknowledged that we play a whole lot of nickel, but if you look at our personel, we have defenders that are fits for the 4-3. If we sign Osi, I will have to give up the idea that we should switch to a 3-4 mentality. And, that has a major impact on our draft.

Stay tuned.
