seems kind of odd when our defense was exposed in playoffs . Not sure how we can be considered a title contender when Biermann is basically locked in as starter at DE and lose Walker and defensive line is a who who

sure we can focus on draft but any of those players going to make a difference ? Not where we are drafting and will take time

I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 .

think after this season and we fail to do anything in playoffs and defense exposed I think people will be on my side about TD. I mean how do we go into this off season cut Abraham and lose Vance Walker and expects us to be better lolllll how lol

Without actually reading any of these (likely worthless) posts, I'm going to take a guess at where they go:

Falcons haven't signed any defensive players and cut Abe loose. Falcons are doomed!

In reality, there really were not any good pass rushers this season. Don't tell me Cliff Avril, his numbers just happened to double as soon as Suh arrived, I don't want him. From what I can tell, most defensive players have way to high of an asking price right now, and I'd rather wait to sign someone cheaper or just rebuild through the draft than overpay for a mediocre player.

Your first post was reasonable and then this pile of dung followed.

Why do you have to hate and go chicken little so much? You get so definitive and exaggerate far too much.

TD is a great GM. This team is his #1 priority and he lives and breaths Falcons. If you can't see it and feel it with your gut that he is easily one of the best GM's in this league, then you're just working some agenda or angle to stir shit up for attention. Or, you are just bad at this and mentally incapable of seeing how hard it is to assemble a team under fiscal limitations and perpetually win in this game year after year.

That and your expectations are just beyond unreasonable and unrealistic. You cannot hit pro-bowlers and top-5 positional talent with every pick and have that at every position. You cannot spend whatever you want and simply buy every top tier player that exists. You cannot have a crystal ball and know when injuries will occur. You cannot babysit these adults and force them to be perfect angels and only live a life 100% devoted to giving every ounce of effort to this team.

You can reasonably try to get as close to those things as possible, and manage it all as good as one possibly could. And this is what TD certainly does and has been doing. But to act like he's not good at doing this is just crazy talk. He's exceptional at this job compared to his peers.

We could have not been forced to cut Abe ?

How about bringing back a valauable rotational dl player in Walker

Elvis was cut . Did we need to spend $ on a veteran rb ?

We couldn't bring Elvis in and let Turner and Tony G go. I love Tony but Falcons didnt need him back. We could have easily drafted a young TE and develop him and brought in a veteran pass rusher like Elvis

The Falcons offense was not the issue why this team was not in Super Bowl so why we spent this off season making sure the offense stays in tact for one more run I still have no clue . Tony G could have walked for all I care that 5.2 mil cap hit plus dead money next year is not worth it to me if this team can't find a pass rush. I would have easily been find with a tight end like Walker who was a free agent .

This off season and way everything worked out. Falcons could have had Elvis and Abe on a restructured deal. Brought in Walker for tight end and Sammie Hill or Walker back at DT and still been fine . We didnt need Steven Jackson or Tony G

we needed a pass rush and defensive play makers .

The way this off season could have played out

QB- Ryan
RB-
TE - Walker ( free agent signing)
WR- Julio, Roddy , Hardy

DE - Elvis
DT- Sammie Hill
DT- Babs
DE - Abe or Osi

We could have spent the draft now on a young DB, get a rb that can split carries with Snelling and Quizz and another young DE while still being able to groom Massaquoi

Tony G and Steven Jackson at there age and what it cost against our cap was not worth it to short the defense .

Actually, yes, we did need an upgrade at running back. That was extremely clear down the stretch. We couldn't convert short yardage downs, and Rodgers isn't going to fit in as a full time fill for Turner. Jackson is exactly what we need, a guy who can power run and catch out of the backfield, a dual threat.

Who would you have recommended we sign as a pass rusher? I laugh at the people that think the Browns' offer to Kruger was realistic and smart. Avril was a pretty good pass rusher, but do we need a guy that can occasionally get to the quarterback? I think we already have that in Biermann. Swift, you're getting a little delusional again, you should take a break until the season man. I mean, you do realize that Doom was cut AFTER we signed Jackson, right? I get that you're up in arms about losing the playoff game, but we didn't lose because of our defense. We couldn't run the football, that was the biggest reason we lost. How many short yardage opportunities did we have that we didn't convert? Too many bud.
