Kroy Biermann needs to take HGH or something. The guy still plays like a 'tweener.

Yeah, Biermann played at some Division I-AA school so I don't really expect much from him. OG & OT would be nice, I think we're pretty set at the skill positions (resign Harry Douglas & use Jacquizz Rodgers more, less of Turner). Defensively, we still have a weakness opposite Abraham (if we can resign him). I'm fine at LB (if we can resign Lofton). Secondary, Decoud needs to go, Dunta needs to go, Grimes has to be resigned, need more players at corner & a new starting safety. There's a lot of holes, TD has his work cut out for him.

This team has to win in the playoffs to get respect. Period. You don't get respect by winning 10-13 games in the regular season and losing in the first game in the playoffs. That is beyond unacceptable for where this team should be simply on the basis of its talent level.

When we win in the playoffs the respect will come. This team has already burned out the "hot young team coming from nowhere" card after the Vick/Pestinko crisis. It has already burned the "had best conference record to clinch homefield advantage throughout the playoffs" card because our of our loss last year at home against Green Bay in our first (and only) playoff game. Now we have even burned the "smart pick to pull off an upset" card because almost EVERY national figure had us upsetting the Giants today.

So what cards are left? Only one: "the team that choked in the playoffs for years finally showed up and won it all". And that is the ONLY card left in the deck that will get this franchise and its fanbase the "respect" so many crave.

Pin it... you earn respect and the Falcons have done nothing to earn it.

As a fan you hoped all year the team would come together and find it's identity but they were exposed by every solid team... Had Chicago not lost Cutler we would have been the 6th seed or maybe not even that.

The team has back slid and now TD will have to pull some magic out of his hat in order to make up for all those picks?

I'm not sure how we are going to get better yet?

Oline, RB and pass rush will all have to be addressed before next season.

Here is another vote for not giving a shit about "respect" in the media. I am more concerned with the ongoing success of the Falcons than I am about some guy's opinion about the Falcons.

What about the opinion of the city of Atlanta and it's fans by a guy named Rob Parker?

I think he is a total hack and was more upset that his editor let that get posted on an ESPN website than I was about that guy writing the piece to begin with. You want me to tell you how fucking retarded I think people are for agreeing with that hack, too? Consider it done.

He is a total hack, but for some reason his opinion piece didn't really bother me. The opinions of analysts don't really bother me neither, respect is something that is earned and we have done nothing to earn it.

I think we have done more than enough, and it still doesn't bother me. Cool

Why does this team remind me so much of the KC chiefs when they had Marty Schottenheimer?

For those who apparently are misreading my post, I'm not saying we need "respect" from the national media. What I am saying is that since this is something of a hot button issue for many fans my post is addressed to them. Respect only comes from winning in the playoffs.

Seriously if I hear even ONE more person ever complain about the lack of media attention for this team I'm going to have a seizure.

The media doesn't care about losers.
