ok, just so everyone knows, i DO like that we don't hear much about our players in the papers, other than the sports sections after the games. and i am in NO MEANS suggesting we should start taking the Dez's of the world.



BUT


to take a projected 6th round LT, when there was a much higher graded prospect on the board, simply because the higher graded guy smoked some weed. i mean geesh.....ok, not the smartest thing to smoke weed within a certain time frame of when you're gonna be tested, but then again it's not the smartest thing in the world to drive around with expired tags, late at night, with dark tinted windows, with someone who has drugs on them and get yourself pulled over either.

and yet, Babs is still on the team, and still one of our best players. The comments i heard from mayok after pittsburgh took mike adams, was 'he made sure that pittsburgh's FO knew he had learned from his mistake'.

So TD would rather take someone who has a history of injuries (go back through the years he's been here) who might not ever really be fully 'WELL" instead of taking a chance that our coaches and other players can mentor a guy and help him mature and realize what great chances he's got for the rest of his life?

sorry, i'm just at a place where i love the winning seasons, but i am ready to see that go the next step and mean things like, the team who dominated winning in the regular season didn't just get dominated and embarrassed in their playoff game
