I also think in the conversation about Holmes, where as we and other pundits and draft pundits have likely only in the last 6 months to a year picked up Holmes on their and our respective radars. Dimitroff, specified in an interview, that they have been closely watching him for the last few years. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that flowery branch has a draft board somewhere with targets for the 2014 draft. Not a full blown board. But people that are already catching their attention. And I'm not just talking future stars.

Scouts are not just looking at this year's players, but researching the years to come. They have more than this year's board being worked out.

I agree fully, that's why I think Holmes has been a planned value pick by the falcons for a while. He may have been a gamble before, but I think Hill may have had an opportunity to look in on him and give his opinion. It's already been said he is one of the best is not the best pass protecting LT in the draft. It was his run work that was abysmal. It's a blessing for us that his best strength is our weakness, we have four other lineman we can run the ball behind. And in all honesty I expect that Pat is going to have him beating the drum as a run blocker a lot sooner than expected.
