But the Falcons still haven't won the Super Bowl because TD has yet to put a Super Bowl winning defense on the field and I for one am sick of it.

We all want that as well, but championships are being won by offenses in recent years. You don't need a great defense to outscore opponents. Its like when the Saints won. Their Offense was a thing of beauty. They could score on will. Their D wasn't great but it was good enough to win.

There is no risk for a contract of that size and a player of that caliber.

RE: Steven Jackson is a Falcon
Here's a great video!

We get two years of this on top of what we have and we could get two Lombardi's!

Atlanta could be the place where dominant players come over the next few seasons to get a ring!

How's that for a new news story....

RE: Steven Jackson is a Falcon
Well of anybody is like Marshawn Lynch is Steven Jackson, I agree with the some, I was hoping we would try to get a Defensive end like Freeny or somebody else, like Urlacher a better linebacker. Steven makes us tons better in the no huddle because he can catch the ball on the run, but looks like we have to get it thru the draft, unless TD makes some magic happen. If we get a huge D tackle then linebackers, I know were going 3-4 just saying. Tongue

Yeah I agree, I was mainly addressing things like injury concerns by the inevitable nay sayers. I love this move, no reservations at all.

RE: Steven Jackson is a Falcon
Our D was the 5th best scoring D. We didn't get to the super bowl because of our D but because we couldn't score inside the 10 in 4 plays. Consider that problem fixed.

RE: Steven Jackson is a Falcon
I haven't gotten a new Falcons jersey in awhile....I might have to get me a Jackson jersey. He's been one of my favorite RBs in the league since he came in and I always felt bad that he got stuck behind so many bad Rams offenses.
