that aside, there have been WAY more times i've listened to him and thougth what a complete and total freakin idiot he was/is. I got to where i couldn't stand the sound of his voice, much less his ideas and commentary. guess what i did, i quit listening to him. I won't call him a homer, nor will i question his fanhood just because my opinion and his differ on so many fronts. i just think he's an idiot, and since i don't have to listen to him, i don't. it's THAT SIMPLE, just because you don't agree with someone you DON'T have to call them out on it every freaking time. when you argue with an idiot, those watching can't tell the difference.

Being tired of his voice and disagreeing with him is plenty a good reason to stop listening to him, so I understand where you're coming from.

But that doesn't make what he said any less true. Even if you don't believe it or like people to say it, there are fake fans and liars in this world.

If this caller were to come back and say that he loves Michael Vick and has become an avid Eagles fan and he loathes the Falcons now and can't stand them, now how would you feel about his comments and his "fanhood"?

That kind of person is no fan of this team. People who can't tell you the name of a player on the team or have an agenda against them because they root for someone else, yet come in and say they suck and toss out criticisms, and they're only credentials are that they've lived in Atlanta for 20+ years aren't "fans".

It has NOTHING to do with a difference of opinion. If you don't know shit about a team or you're arguing simply because of an agenda, how can you be a fan?

I don't know anything about European futbol. And if I were to call up a radio station in Spain claiming I lived there for 25 years and was a fan, but then told them Real Madrid sucks and they need to quit being homers, guess what... I'd be a fake.
