I agree as well. To me, the caller was simply stating that these guys are question marks, while some of the homers swear (just like they did last year and the year before) that HD and Jerry are the second comings of Jesus Christ. I think the caller had a decent point (the part he was allowed to get out before the host went on a tirade similar to some of the ones I see on here lol). You can be of the opinion that some of our players might not be first ballot hall of famers and still see that our team is pretty good. I'm one of those. I've actually forced myself to be more optimistic this year and give HD and Jerry the benefit of the doubt and another year to see what they can do. I think a lot of people are expecting a lot out of quizz as well. Don't be disappointed if he finishes the year with 500 total yards. I won't be because I'm not expecting that this year. That radio host made an ass out of himself.

I think they both did Phil. You can't be a radio host and go off on a caller like that, and as a fan, you can't say things like "i've been a fan of the team for x amount of years." That type of retort makes you sound desperate and starved for attention. Just because you have been a fan of a team for longer, does not mean you care more about the team or that you know more about the team than the next. I know there are people out there that have been fans of the Falcons longer than I have been alive, but that doesn't mean that they love them more than I do (Tandy aside lol). However, I am sure you get my point. I think it's a shitty situation, that given the chance, both parties involved would go back and not get into it like that again.

Great post, but from the sounds of it, those 2 would have been right back at each others throats if given the chance lol.

The host didn't have to go in on the caller like that, it was extremely uncalled for and pretty much initiated the whole argument where the caller got duped into stooping down to the hosts level. The caller said or did NOTHING to deserve that kind of pompous overblown reaction so anything said after that is a wash.

And to the original poster, we already have guys like that posting on this board. (maybe even this thread)

I see the same thing out of some posters here.

No I'm taking it easy on Jerry and HD this year because we are actually getting some positive news out of them this year. I do however agree that Quizz is no lock to be an immediate game changer or even a contributing factor. Not saying he won't but I've seen ridiculous claims from people like this dude is going to be ROY candidate or something lol. You know, typical homer bs.

We have complete imbiciles on these forums who act and say stupid shit just like that caller did. And what Beau said was exactly right. If you don't see how special this organization really is, you don't know shit about this team and shouldn't call yourself a fan.

someone's opinion not matching yours don't make them less of a fan. I've always thought Beau Bock was an idiot, this hasn't helped his cause, and yes, if he was on here saying those things, i'd damn sure give him a warning, maybe we'd even have a rule made just with him in mind....

Beau is cool but he does get a little to wrapped up from what he see's guys doing in practice.

He took the homer comment to heart because he has really been one of the only media guys to take it to Bobby Cox for settling for divisional pennants in this town.

That caller is also a regular. He rarely comes with a positive attitude toward any player or coach of the falcons. Things he says may be true like Payton may be a better head coach than Smith and HD may not reach the potential we think he can but living in Atlanta there are a lot of Buzz Killingtons out there that love to acknowledge the teams faults but not there triumphs. Sometimes we need these blowups because people forget how high we have risen these past couple of years.

Considering we have Julio Jones, it is ridiculous. Julio Jones being the leading ROY candidate going into the season is about as factual as you can get at this point.
