He is the Falcons all time win leader in only 5 seasons. He has won coach of the year 3 times already. The team prior to Smith never had back to back winning seasons; he has 5 straight. While not yet having played in the Super Bowl, all 4 teams he has lost to in the playoffs made the Super Bowl. His team has set record for fewest penalties in a season and leads the league in his tenure, which you could argue is one of the top signs of a well coached, disciplined football team.
