Falcons Should we, hate to actually say it, trade Roddy?

Should we, hate to actually say it, trade Roddy?
dont flame, just hear me out.

i didnt want to make an emotionally charged rage post about how much of a bum Roddy is
and how he lost the game for us and how we need to trade him, so i waited a day.

Roddy just isnt himself this year. And my prediction is Roddy is feeling a little like Woody.
Andy (Matt) just got the brand new Buzz Lightyear (Juilo) and Roddy is feeling left out.
He is turning into the diva that fans used to pride themselves on him not being.
He's loosing focus, dropping balls, playing lazy on blocks, and causing stupid penalties.

That being said, Roddy is still an elite talent in my opinion, who does well with a "Robin", but he's not handling having another "Batman" around well.
A guy of his caliber in the peak of his career could fetch a 1st round pick at least, if not another late round as well.
With all the age on this offense, getting some picks to infuse more youth might be a better long run move.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, and Roddy is a worthless bum who needs to leave...
but the thought is crossing my mind. what say you?

who would trade for a receiver that's been playing relatively bad for the year, with his contract?...we aren't going to trade him...especially with Julio getting hurt every other game now

tl;dr

EDIT: Went back and read, and I still thoroughly disagree. You want to trade Roddy because of his down year, but who would trade a 1st round pick for a 30+ year old WR after a down year? That alone makes this scenario invalid. Along with the overall fuckery of this idea.

No diss to you bro, but no. Just no.

No we don't trade Roddy. Overreaction at its finest. Roddy has given us a great number of years and he's just struggling this year. Like Steve Young said about QB's a few weeks ago, sometimes no matter what you do, you just have a bad year. It is what it is, but to trade someone who has been here since day 1 and busted his ass to get where he is, no you do not trade Roddy ever. He dies a Falcon.

i'm actually going to quote Beef from another thread here:

"RE: I blame every one of our WR's.
Why do these people who rarily post here come out of the woodwork with the dumbest fucking criticisms possible every time there's a loss or a lack of perfection? "

end of quote

This place is starting to get as bad as AFMB with the name calling and undeserved air of superiority of several posters.

LOL...

You don't trade him...but I am starting to worry that he's not being taken to task for some of these stupid personal foul penalties. Weems got read the riot act for that stupid penalty on the return...Roddy needs to get that kind of treatment and I'm fearful he's not b/c he's a "star" on the team. Could be wrong, but I have to wonder why he keeps getting them if someone is in his ear about it.

RE: Should we, hate to actually say it, trade Roddy?
I overreacted with the trade talk last night; it wasn't based on last night's game alone, Roddy has played like shit all season. Plus I still hadn't recovered from UGA totally embarrassing Auburn on Saturday, it made yesterday that much worse.

Bottom line is, Blank and Smitty need to sit Roddy down and tell him to earn his damn paycheck.

If you have a problem, send a PM or report the post. These kinds of posts do nothing but breed animosity and accomplish nothing.
