Yeah I really liked the Lion King bit. Not just because of the reference to him inheriting the Kingdom as it were from Mike P, but now knowing he picked that, shows the love and respect he has for Mike as the man who took him under his wing and prepared him to take over the mantle and become the emotional leader of this defense and in many ways the team too. Spoon is not just one of my favourite players he is one of my favourite people.
Did anyone see him walk over and shake hands with our offensive players when Turner got his TD. He was shaking all their hands. I found that poignant as they should have been approaching him, thanking him for recovering the fumble and putting them in position for another score. He sees the team not himself and that is what is going to lead him to greatness. This guy reminds me so much of Ray Lewis with the way he plays with his heart on his sleeve. |
