RE: Same Baker
Not only was he getting Matt killed, he fucked the run game up by letting the DE get to Tuner before he even hit the hole

RE: Same Baker
why are you guys complaining? I have a Sam Baker jersey I got for my 18th birthday immediately after we drafted him, and I'm starting to think that a Keith Zinger draft-day jersey would have been a better purchase. At least my Julio jersey is rested and ready for Carolina.

RE: Same Baker
The problem with Baker is that he half-commits. He makes this half ass bucket step type move trying to align himself with the DE, but ends up failing to really commit to his stance. Which pretty much guarantees that he gets driven back into the QB almost every play.

Really, Svitek needs to come in sooner rather than later with the way he's playing.

RE: Same Baker
Baker also faced Peppers and Cole, two elite DE's.

He has to get better from here.

Not that it mattered though, he played just as below average as DeCoud normally does.

You do know that Sanders has been a Falcon for, what, a couple of weeks now? The fact that he was out there not fully knowing the defense says a lot about him.

The more he plays, the better he'll get. You can't say the same for DeCoud.

RE: Same Baker
let's not forget that Cole OWNED Bakers ass last year too. I'm still amazed that we didn't do more to help him over there. I do think we need to make a change here next year some how. I'm gonna guess TD makes some trades and moves back into the first round.

Even Deion said that Baker getting his butt whipped and not getting any help was ridiculous! but he did give kudos to Ryan for hanging in there. This game should make NFL replay this week, no doubt.

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

RE: Same Baker
I can not believe how badly Baker plays against elite DE. He gets completely man handled. I mean total white wash for four quarters. Trent Cole beat him like a rag doll. Peppers beat him like a rag doll. And here's the insane part: we never HELPED HIM by moving a tight end to that side to help contain.

I can't stand Baker but we also need to blame the coaching here. They made no adjustments to the blocking scheme and it kept getting Ryan killed and it blew up our running game. You have to make ingame adjustments and we did not. Baker clearly can not handle elite DE by himself and unless we're trying to embarrass him on national television on purpose we need to get him help.

Baker pissed me off to no end last night, but in his defense he did have some help (not much) last night with TE help to his side. Cole was just beasting on everyone we put over there.
