Ben may not be a better QB than Ryan, but he can sexually assault a co-ed in a club bathroom better than Ryan, he can crash a motorcycle better than Ryan, and he can have a fucking stupid fat face better than Ryan.

I think people get clutch confused with elite. Big Ben is clutch...no doubt about it, but he isn't elite.

Before last year Eli was clutch, but he wasn't elite.

Ryan is in a tier of his own
It's getting to the point to where I am getting sick of the word elite. It gets tossed around all the time by the media but no one ever gives a clear definition of what it means, just another thing for them to blather about and pretend to sound smart.

One more subjective term in what I call their "yeah well" arsenal. Basically it boils down to them starting with their conclusion first then making sure they have something to explain away the contradictions when the data disagrees with their initial stance.

For example:

Fact:
"Matt Ryan is playing at a high level, leading the league's only remaining undefeated team."

Responses:
"Yeah well, he can't win a playoff game"

"Yeah well, he can't throw the deep ball"

"Yeah well, he's not elite"

etc...
