Xanthri, when you go into the hall of fame, you go in under all your teams, not just one. When Deion was elected, he did not have to pick us (I don't know if he would have, though we have "recruited" him hard lately).

One day contracts are essentially a player's way of thanking the main team in his heart, and showing the fans that, while football is a business, they consider them to be home.

This is a common misconception. A player might state what team he identifies with the most, but ultimately he goes in representing all teams for which he played.

Correct. In MLB players go in with a certain team represented on their bust.

Or in a manner of speaking, he goes in not representing any of his former teams. The HOF honors their members with a plain bust with no team affiliation whatsoever. Another misconception is that it is the NFL HOF. This is not correct. It is the Pro Football HOF and includes all professional football leagues - USFL, AFL, CFL, etc.

If you ever gets the chance you have to visit. We went back in the Spring of 2009. It is a must for any football fan.

Actually, the MLB has a plaque instead of a bust and the image includes the cap of the team of choice.

Plaque is what I meant with a certain team's logo represented on the cap. The player doesn't get to pick, the HOF decides which team is represented.
