Yeah but the same could be said about ALL nfl players. Why should they get paid Million upon millions to "catch, run, tackle". Its not like they're doctors saving lives, they're athletes who play a game.

I'm not attacking you personally, but if Roddy is gonna complain that a commissioner is getting paid $20M, he should look at himself and evaluate his situation.

For me though Roddy has just been unraveling. Honestly don't know what's going on but he needs to get his act straightened out and get back to just playing football. He can start bashing players or teams or persons as long as he's not the leading receiver in drops and if he can come up clutch every single week instead of choking.

So Mahem in the AM had veteran player Vonnie Holliday on this morning. He was one of the main player reps sitting at the CBA negotiating table with D. Smith across from Goodell and the owners. Dimino and Shapiro asked him what he thought about Roddy's comments/tweets and what he had to say was pretty enlightening.

He said Goodell's job is so remedial and without substance that he really doesn't deserve a $20M/year salary. He said that at the negotiating table, Goodell was no where close to the smartest man in the room and was actually nothing more than a puppet. It was like going to a car dealership and the guy you're talking too has to constantly get up and go ask his manager what he's allowed to do with the price negotiations. He had no answers and talked very little except with some canned speech written by someone else. He said all the player reps were reporting back to their respective teammates at team meetings how inept and useless Goodell really was and how little he actually did with regards to managing the league. On top of that, the guy has essentially crowned himself judge, jury, and executioner in regards to handing out player fines and this has obviously turned him into the "enemy" of the players.

So this is coming from a significantly more credible source who has actually witnessed Goodell doing his "job". And Holliday said not only is Roddy not off at all with his comments, although they were presented poorly, but that he's certainly not near the only player who is appalled by this and is voicing their dismay.

Goodell doesn't run a $10 billion dollar business. So whoever thinks that or said that is ignorant and wrong. He's simply a peon/puppet who over-sees a few aspects of league public relations and compliance. He also power-trips like a freakin bandit and has a ridiculously over-inflated ego.

I don't have a problem at all with Roddy being bothered by this, but I do believe he went the wrong way about voicing his opinion. And he's an illiterate retard and shows it with every word. But, I can't really blame him for popping off because they really are grossly overpaying Goodell. And I think they're just doing it because he's the face of the owners and they can't pay they're status symbol peanuts.
