When I was 12 years old my Dad took me out flying as he did occasionally. He had his flight instructor license back then. Well, that day he told me to take over the controls. He had me make a couple of slight adjustments. I'm still here today so all went well.

I see Leinart's job as doing much the same. The Texan plane has been flying steadily with Schaub being there to gently guide it along. That is a job that Leinart may be able to slip into easily. His teammates agree from an article I read today from the Houston Chronicle.

You have way too much faith in Leinart. He was almost worse than Jamarcus Russell.

No. Not faith. Just keeping an open mind while I wait to see. I never felt Schaub was anything to get thrilled about and can see where just being able to do what minimally needs to be done will not have a huge affect on the Texans' offense. The fact that he gets perhaps the best WR in the league back this week could make his job much easier.

As I said before, wait and watch this week.

RE: Remaining schedule
Andre Johnson or not, Leinert has no chance without a running game, which is one thing the Falcons defense is currently excelling at. A top QB like Rodgers or Brees can make it work without one, I don't see it happening for Leinert but again we shall see.

Prior history says he's more than likely going to suck.

If we lose because of Matt Leinart, then our season is over and have no business participating in the playoffs. I will also slit my wrists vertically

The point is there is no prior history to go off of. Or at least none in the past three years. He started 12 games in his rookie year (2006) and lost the first six he played. He did win four of the last six he started that season on an awful team. Since then he has only started six games going 3-3.

If you lose it will not be because of Matt Leinart. It will be because of Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels and the entire Texans' top ranked defense. All Leinart has to do is manage the game just as Schaub had been doing.

Schaub had only managed 15 TDs over the first ten games with six picks. He was only completing 61%, good, but not in any way outstanding.

One of the best WR's in the league couldn't helo a seemingly better prospect in Kolb

The supporting cast of the Cards do not even come close to that of the Texans.
