I'm not saying he doesn't suck, I was just pointing out he made a couple plays.

RE: Props to Chris Owens.
Agreed with almost everyone, Owens made one "good' play and almost forced us to keep playing Defense on that 4th and 4 call. Thank goodness he dropped it, thats all that can really be said.

Like I've been saying Hayden will do well for us, even with his limited time last night. he's proven at least to me he's a heck of a lot better than Owens will be any time soon.

RE: Props to Chris Owens.
I was extremely happy he made that tackle, but before he made it I was questioning why he was on the field at all.

I think he is the odd mad out in terms of coverage. Hopefully he either turns into a beast of a CB or is benched permanently. I dont think we have room this season for mediocre nickelbacks. I really wish we had another quality CB so we could shuffle things around during garbage time (assuming we have some this season) to evaluate ALL of our CBs in game situations.

Absolutely right. We wouldn't have won this game if Owens had been in the whole time. Hayden needs to be our "starting" nickel back now.

(Paultik, I appreciate what you're trying to say. Owens has always been a good hitter and a pretty good tackler -- but he's become a terrible liability in pass coverage, and that is still true).

No disagreement here. Just dropping a kind of Karmic acknowledgement to give the guy credit in hopes he steps up.

I don't want him in anyway starting.

RE: Props to Chris Owens.
Owens plays better the closer to the line of scrimmage he is, but most DBs do. Downfield Owens is lost.
