I was saying that would be the only way he would get to the probowl unless he had a super unbelievable season as WLB in a 43. This is why the probowl is a joke outside lb in 34 & 43 are listed together. Where players like Ware and Mathews should be put in with DE more the outside LB. |

Think about it, if Ryan and JJ/Roddy started on fire throughout the season we'd be seeing more then just Tony G in the bowl. Defensively though, I honestly feel Spoon should've gone just by the way he's been playing and holding the D up. Grimes I think probably would've made it if he didn't get injured. Oh well, lets hope next year we just play good football and get recognition. -ROCK CHALK!!! |

RE: Probowl
If Spoin has a big game or games in the playoffs the Chatter on his name will increase, if he carries that over into next season it wil serve him well. Outside of Atl he was a no name last year. And inside there were a lot of people placing him as Atlanta's Curry, he got healthy and stronger and has been beating out of the gate proving his worth. He will get his dues, sometimes you just have to work even harder, if you know anything about Spoon the life he had and how much he lives for life and loves it, I think you wil be hard pressed to find a more motivated person.

RE: Probowl
I think it is a joke Roddy White, Ryan and Spoon didn't make the Pro Bowl. I don't know how Brent Grimes and Lofton get overlooked either. It is a joke seeing some of these guys on the rosters because of what they did five years ago. I'm looking at you Urlacher.

Spoon has been great, but nobody knows him as this is basically his first year playing. Last year he was injured most the time. Grimes was injured and Lofton just brought typical numbers from him. Both Grimes and Lofton played well, but no earth shattering plays made. And Grimes has only 1 int compared to 5 and 6 last years.

RE: Probowl
RAT YDS. TD. INT.
Matt Ryan. 90.7 4071 27 12 Cam Newton. 85 3893 20 16 Cam Newton was voted to the pro bowl as a first alternate. We know the pro bowl is a crock of shit, but it's clear which will finish with better stats and who has been the better player. It's just that one is more exciting and can entertain more. Gone are the days when someone's pro bowl success gave a good indication of their ability to become a hall of famer. Some might say you need to count QBs yards on foot as well but personally I couldn't give a shit how many he rushed for. Both Vick and Young have shown that running QBs are a shot in the dark type player because of their risk factor in being a runner. It can hurt your team as much as itcan the opponent. If Newton had a head on him like Dalton or Matt I could see him being a great and dangerous player. But he is too concerned with being a brand an icon an entertainer and not enough concerned with being a football player. He needs to put his head down and work his yards and TDs look impressive but they have been trending downwards and low for most of the season his rating is inflated by the TB game in which he didn't throw much didn't get many yards but picked up 3 TDs. |
