But he blew up the combine and flew up the ratings. He was drafted on pure potential, because his college stats weren't anything special. I mean 7 sacks his senior year doesn't really fly off the page. Pierre Paul was a project cause of the small size he came from with that said he was a pro football weekly all American college prospect . He also has benefited from the other players on the Giants defensive line. Did you see JPP stats this season when he became the main target of double teams . Not taking anything away from Pierre Paul he has ton of talent but he is still very raw and now is going to learn how to take his game to next level and finish off sacks when getting double teamed Some NFL executive said JPP is the BEST DEFENSIVE END in the draft in 2010 Evaluators in attendance at Jason Pierre-Paul's workout at South Florida expressed excitement about the raw talent, citing his foot quickness, athletic ability and balance. "He's the best defensive end in the draft," said one highly placed evaluator in position to strike. The long-limbed Pierre-Paul was commended for being the first player in line for drills, picking up on instructions and working well through the bags during drills. Evaluators were generally excited about his workout. PFW polled nearly a third of the league to get a pulse on where Pierre-Paul can be expected to be drafted, and the overwhelming sentiment was that he would fit into the top 15, with seven teams expecting Pierre-Paul to be drafted very early. Again only word associated with Margus Hunt is PROJECT /raw /freakish talent. So to waste a 2nd round pick on a extremely raw project that will be 26 years old is mind boggling. If Margus Hunt was a 4th or 5th round prospect ..he is well worth the shot.. a 2nd round pick for a TEAM that is in DIRE need of a pass rush if Hunt turns out to be a bust and you had such high hopes for him with a 2nd round pick it will hurt this franchise. It will hurt them similar to how Jerry has hurt the Falcons when they thought he would bring a interior pass rush . Not saying Margus will turn out a bust like Jerry or get hurt but its not a risk TD needs to take with a 2nd round pick ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |
