Especially with the Giants coming off smacking around the Aints. But my pessimistic side (which I usually only contain to real life) is coming out and I don't see any way this game won't go down like the playoff game did last year. Our OL has gotten worst as the season has gone on and the Giants DL has been getting better. ![]()

We all agree it was an embarrasment and not how we want to play but some of us arent equating this to somehow mean we are doomed. |

Just saying there was absolutely no effort on Sunday and so far there's been no public accountability from any of the players or coaches. You know what I want? I want the 2008/2009 Mike Smith back. The guy that would get fired up on the sidelines when the Falcons got screwed by the refs or would jump players faces when they did something wrong, whether it be his team or the other team. Where's that guy at? I've seen very little of that guy the last 3 years. Bring me this guy back.

RE: Post Game Press Conference
Ah for fuck sake I just typed out a thorough thorough post respectful well documented and everything and my fucking browser crashed.
Fuck it to summarise I counted 6 instances this season alone of smith showing fire Be mindful he had heart problems and actually holding his tongue at times might be causing him more harm than good but it causes his players more harm the. Good to be getting in their faces when it ain't going right. As smiths record shows. Being second only to BB, he gets it right most of the time. 4 out of 5 years if this falcon generation we been in it to win it. Achieved this whilst re building a roster Since 08 draft never earned a draft pick higher than 19. We traded up for Julio. Think about how difficult it is to both build a team keep it playoff competitive and actually achieve that when that team has been built out of those last 5 years and barely nothing before that. More I could say. Ask me and I wil say it. |

Yup... ask Asante how he feels about Smitty. He made a great play then caused a penalty and MS blew up on him. People were pissed he did that, but MS was correct in doing so.

It happened and there is nothing you can do about it. The team can but that has nothing to do with you or I. So it's up to them to find it unacceptable and honestly we have no way to find that out. Basing it on a coaches demeanor in a public press conference is silly. I always find this notion of fans finding things their team does unacceptable as kind of ridiculous. Ok you find it unacceptable, but what does that mean really? You don't accept it but now what? Usually when something is found to be unacceptable an action taken but other than quitting being a fan there is no action to take. All this complaining and hand wringing is completely pointless and a big waste of time, especially when all the team's goals are still there in front of them and very attainable. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Style points don't matter. What happens next is the only thing that matters. If we go 14-2 then no, this loss doesn't matter, pride doesn't matter none of it does. You think if we host the trophy guys are going to say "well its great to be world champs and all but that loss to the Panthers really puts a damper on my celebrations" All of this is just a huge overreaction to a bad loss. This does show why the ESPN's of the world exist, to serve up the drama that apparently people crave. |

RE: Post Game Press Conference
Didn't he once get into and get fined for a fight with DeAngelo Hall? The man has fire, but he also is a real pro. He will not lose his cool. He is the best coach this team has ever had.
