I guess you didn't read the interview on the AJC that said he was dealing with a back injury the entire year. He showed potential in 2009, don't go crapping on him over a bad year while playing hurt.

Nothing to do with a back injury, it's all about form. Contrary to popular belief, the CB position is not solely on speed but more so form and reflex. The hunchback of Notre Dame on roller-blades could have covered better than Owens in that game.

You obviously haven't tried to play any sports with a back injury. I know from experience that if you try play with almost any type of back injury it throws you completely out of whack and your performance drops.

If it was that bad, he shouldn't have played. Blaming things on injuries only goes so far, it's like a QB throwing 4 INT's in a game and then blaming his bum knee for the horrid accuracy and bad decision making. I dealt with back spasms a lot of my senior year at center, so I have. Not saying it wasn't difficult or helped, but it didn't impact my play to the point that it cost my team games.

I didn't like Owens getting worked last year...but honestly, he's a young player. I swear a lot of the people ragging on him were saying he should start over Grimes lol

Mistaken. The people who were up Chris' ass were still hyping him even after he was raped in the Bengals game, and still think Grimes is a #2 CB who needs to play NB.
