This bullshit narrative is so worn out.

Those who paid attention saw that we all but abandoned the run and went pass heavy in the second half, despite being up by 20 points when it began. In fact, the very first play of the second half was a 45 yard bomb to JJ.

Even if the Seahawks were stacking the box to stop the run (they weren't), that doesn't mean you stop running the football.

This game was close because our O-line couldn't run block in the second half, and because our defense just plain sucks.

It's obvious you agenda pushers see only what you want to see.

Any OC who would call for more pass plays over running out the clock and handing it over to your dominant defense with a 17 point lead after watching Flacco's ineptitude should be fired on the spot.Point is in that particular situation the Ravens wanted to run it. The Jets knew the Ravens wanted to run it. The Jets still couldn't stop the run. Execution.

Carry on.

i dare you to say we have a dominant defense. go ahead make that comparison and get laughed right out of here. The Ravens continued to run it, and yes you're right about the OC should be fired if he continues to run plays even though they're proven inept, wait, what? is that a double standard coming from you? i'm aghast at that!!!111!!!!1111!!! sarcasm/off

we'll push our agenda, you'll push yours. the only difference is the actual agenda. oh wait, I'm only a fan, what i think or what i say, whether in public, in private, in my own mind....has absolutely NO BEARING on what the team does, on what the coach does, on what the GM does, on what the refs do.....it's not like if a fan actually HAS an agenda, it would matter

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

If the defense is working, thirty should be an easy win. We shouldn't have to put up 30+ to have a chance of winning, especially against Seattle level competition.

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

Right, and your logic is sound?

Lets see... because the Ravens have a good enough OL to predictably and successfully run the ball 11 times in a row and get 4 first downs doing it, that means WE should keep predictably running the ball too.... Wait, what!??

I mean why did you even bring up the Ravens ability to run the ball at will when our OL can't do what their OL can? You clearly tried to use the Ravens as some kind of justification, which is asinine considering the differences in the two OL's.

And just so you know, it was 14 run plays to 22 pass plays in the second half. That's certainly NOT "abandoning the run", especially when those 14 run plays netted a whopping +17 yards when all was said and done. On top of that, we were 3rd and long 8 times in those 22 pass plays so we HAD to throw.

We do not have a dominant defense. Wubba, wubba, wubba. Honk. Honk.

See that? You're not the only one who can take things out of context and spew nonsense.

Yeah, Beef, that's exactly what I said.

Anyway, the point was obvious and explained twice on the previous page. I'm not going to explain it again.

You guys sound like Swift at this point, with his patented "Wait, you're saying that Matt Ryan is as good as Tom Brady?!! lol" deflection techniques.

If you are mocking me, keep at it. I can not help it if there are numerous posters on this forum that refuse to step off their bandwagon to get MM fired. That is not something I can control, but I can give props to people who actually understand what we are doing, as a team, and comment positively about it.

But it makes absolutely ZERO sense to even mention the Ravens. And the way you originally said it, there's no other way to interpret it.

And quit saying that "everyone" here is calling for Mularkey's head. You're the one who sounds like Swift with your bloated generalizations (everyone? no), exagerations (abandoned the run? no) and backpeddling (that's not what you meant? Yes, it was).

Pointing out that the first half play calling was unpredictable and different than the second half very predictable play calling is not "monday morning quarterbacking". Every media outlet from radio to TV to news print is saying the same thing. And it's not because they're being Mularkey haters and want him fired. It's because they watched the freaking game and actually saw a horribly called play scheme in the second half.

"Great first half play calling. Bad halftime adjustments. Telegraphing second half plays. Lots of play-action, tosses to RB's, and Ryan getting rid of the ball almost immediately in the first half. Almost none of that in the second half. Ryan standing in pocket too long in second half looking deep on 3rd and long, forcing throws afraid he going to get hit, no confidence in OL on long routes. Didn't use the no-huddle until late in the 4th quarter and ineffective trying to use it to run out the clock. Very predictable."

Those are the things being said by about 10 different radio hosts between 790 and 680, and about a dozen different analysts between NFLN, ESPN, and the local affiliates.

So your take is that none of these guys must have actually watched the game and are just haters with an agenda against Mularkey??

COME'ON MAN!
