Its not a discussion at all. Can't be on any level. Football is a game of inches. It is or isn't. No in between. A lot of you guys are bodog generation folks who believe in gray areas. I don't understand that having played the game for 16yrs. A sack is a great way to set the tone. It isn't just pretty but its one of the most difficult and effective tools in the game. QB's are more afraid of a sack artist than a guy who gets the hits because at LEAST they may be able to get a completion. You can't get a completion if you are already on your backside.

And where did I deny any of that? All I'm saying is that I'd rather have the guy who has a few less sacks, but throw in far more hits and hurries than a guy who just has a few more sacks. Which goes back to me saying that Abe hasn't been as up and down as people are saying. He's getting the pressures and hits, but not quite the sacks. That's the difference between a guy like Jamaal Anderson, and a guy like Kroy Biermann.

He had a down year in '09. Point blank and end of story. The whole team did. Mind telling us what our standings were at the end of that season?

Acknowledge success when there is success and not when there isn't. 5.5 sacks and 1 FF is hardly successful. 3TFL??? C'mon man. That was not one of his better years and especially considering that he is a pass rusher.

I'm looking at pressures and hits as well, because they can and do impact the game. All you have to do is look at some of Matt Ryan's interceptions this season to see what impact they can have. Sacks are great, don't get me wrong, but they can be misleading when they're the only stat considered.

Look at Roman Harper. Dude leads all non OLB/DEs in sacks and you'd think he was amazing. In reality, all but one of those sacks had him coming in completely untouched. Do we call him a better pass rusher than Abraham because he has more sacks?

LOL!!! gazoo is a great poster man, he just takes up for players too much when they suck. I was messing with you.

Like you I keep all stats in perspective, so I understand what you are getting at. I like sacks because of both lost yards and the psychological harm. You like rushes because of the latter and I think both are great, but its just better to get the trifecta. Psychological, loss yards, and physical pain. I love it!!!
