A sack contributed to the pass coverage with no credit warranted the rush. Well, you didn't getting those, but at least you got some "coverage stops" on third down. No help from the pass rush. So your saying all of those 3rd downs that you guys didnt get were because of great coverage by our LBs and DBs? |

RE: Pass Rush From a Fan
Our coverage was excellent this game outside of a few blown coverages and the area between the OLB and our NB(usually over Nicholas or Hayden). Spoon did exceptionally well against Sproles, and our outside coverage was very good. We were getting eaten up when they managed to get a one on one with our safeties or in the seams against OLB/Hayden.

But the 3rd 1 to sproles with the ditto ahahaha thats too funny I guess your extremely accurate QB made a great throw hu. He was stepping back Before he threw the ball(Becasue of the rush) witch caused the ball to skip into sporles hands. If he had all the time in the world like you and brooking are saying he would have completed that pass. Now Im not about to go thru all the 3rd downs because I g2g but Ive already proved you wrong on that play that there was pressure. Im not saying we had pressure through out the whole game because its not true you can even see on the plays i wrote down i had a lot of no pressure. But that was in part because of brees quick release. IMO dink and dunk through out the whole game shows brees respects our pass rush. Do you think he would dink and dunk the whole game against a team with no pass rush? |

RE: Pass Rush From a Fan
The Saints offense is a lot of dink and dunk, regardless of the pass rush. Our defense is designed to keep the offense from getting behind us and going deep, and we did that for the most part. The other part to our pass defense is to have the front four provide most of the pressure, which they failed to do by any reasonable standard against the Saints. Luckily though, our coverage made up for it more times than not.

The Sproles drop must have come on another play. But, if the play had come down to Sproles on a 3rd and 5 it was most likely a check down, although, it may have been the one pressured 3rd down. Can't say for sure. Yes, they dink and dunk quite often. All part of the "gimmick" offense. Saints Fan Since 1967

Off of someone that throws the ball before it even touches his hands lol and ill take that anyday. For a defense makes there life a lot more easier all you have to do is make sure you wrap up which we did. |

RE: Pass Rush From a Fan
This whole debate was started on your premise that the Falcons defense pressured Brees all game long. Now you have regressed to the point that it may have been a very few plays because Brees got the ball away too soon. I'm sorry, but that's not pressure. That's football.

I proved to you that there was atleast a little pressure from our dline. To say there was none is BS!!!! Saying our Dline did nothing at all is BS!!! Thats what ticked me off lol I remember when D.Brees had all the time in the world a couple years ago against us. He could hold onto the ball take it out to eat and still had time to throw. I didnt see him hold onto the ball this game for more then 3 seconds. |

I was talking more about drews quick release which puts all the pressure on our Dbs and LBs to make the tackles and takes out the Dline out of there swag. |
