RE: PFW: Way we hear it
For elite receivers, double teams come with the territory. It seems pretty clear that Roddy is frustrated because he has lost a step or two and can't beat double coverage anymore, either due to age, conditioning or some injury we don't know about.
Whatever the case, he needs to suck it up, pull his head out of his ass and start making plays when those opportunities present themselves. No excuse for dropping game-winning TD passes when they hit you squarely in the hands. |

RE: PFW: Way we hear it
Roddy's his own worst enemy(see first few years of his career). He lacked the work ethic and determination to get better at that time.
Right now, he lacks focus and he's letting the drops, penalties, and opinions of him pile up and it's affecting his play. Dude needs to go to an intense meditation session and get back to a state of equilibrium and focus. Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

RE: PFW: Way we hear it
I dont think Roddy has slowed down.... I think last year we basically schemed for him... We moved him around to get him open... This year... We have a healthier HD, Julio Jones, and Tony looking a little fresher... We cant just focus on how to get Roddy open.. We have more weapons...
Yes i think his knee injury has something to do with his production but i think the main reason is the guy is being doubled teamed and he is dropping passes... He is flat out dropping important passes... 2 potential TD's.... I dont want to hear any crying... Just go out there and play ![]()

RE: PFW: Way we hear it
As coop said he needs to suck it and Don said he lacks focus. Either way, its almost as if there is something else distracting him.

If somebody on here uses the twitter, they need to bomb his page with remarks about how he needs to quit acting like a female and step up and play some ball.
This is my signature. |

RE: PFW: Way we hear it
And the one catch Roddy makes for a TD goes down in science as one of the hardest catches to make. Roddy is his worst enemy, I think his mom needs to whip his ass again.

RE: PFW: Way we hear it
With Roddy, last year everything between him and Matt were pretty much timing routes. The first half of the season, the oline caused these timing routes to be less available. I also haven't seen as many sideline patterns that he would run like he did last year. So, it MAY be that this year is just not gonna come together till the end for him. That is fine for me. He just needs to get his frustration out, but only when the ball is in his hands.
