[PFF] Turner Elusive???

Turner seems to be an 'elusive' back, but what do you guys think? -ROCK CHALK!!! |

RE: [PFF] Turner Elusive???
I'd like to see the 2010 numbers, I'm sure they are much lower than the 09 and 08 numbers. People seem to forget that up until Turner fudged his ankle against Carolina in 09, Turner was running towards a better season than he had in 08.

RE: [PFF] Turner Elusive???
The word 'elusive' is a bit misleading, since the stat is derived from missed tackles. There are two ways to make that happen - you either make a move (which is what I'd call elusive) or you just break them. Turner does a lot more of the latter than the former.

I don't know what happened to his quickness he used to be hella shifty now he just moves like a dump truck. Elusive no. Wrecking ball yes.

RE: [PFF] Turner Elusive???
he rarely goes down on the first hit, and when he does, he still usually moves the tackle up a yard...not surprising

RE: [PFF] Turner Elusive???
I love new, cutting-edge statistic methodologies like this. Im a big fan of the DVOA formula - its one of the most accurate methods of ranking football teams as a whole, which is VERY difficult to do.

Turner is more like dump truck & wrecking ball. I maybe reaching a little bit. But Turner is starting look like a slight upgrade over TJ Duckett on the account of losing his elusiveness. The difference is Turner doesn't go down from the first hit. |
