Sorry, but anybody pounding on the imaginary table exclaiming "We demand answers!" over this hire while accusing the FO of doing something that can't remotely be substantiated deserves to be called out for their overreaction.
I'm not asking for anything any competent journalist wouldn't ask. I'm not pounding on the table. I just want an explanation. They are asking the same questions on the radio. Asking why we hired an unproven person to lead our offense is totally reasonable, and not "pounding the table". You read it how you want, but you have been nothing but condescending and offered little. You could fill in the blank with any name and your argument would be the same whether it was Dirk Koetter or Dolly Parton.

Nobody is guaranteed to be great. I don't think Koetter is great. I don't think there is a chance for him to be great. He'll be fine. He's no innovator or anything.

He had a big hand in laying that tracks for the program Boise State has become, just saying. Learn your history.

Him by himself is not great but I'm not calling him to be great by himself. I want the TEAM to be great and I hope he can contribute to that.

Look at the 49ers...great defense and determined offense. I would put 49ers offense below average in some occasions and NFCCG and I think even in the Super Bowl.

Blank said he wanted the team to be great. This can be accomplished.

Who is the 49ers OC anyway? Just sayin

Like I said brush up on your history. The guy had a hand in developing a program that is now recognized on the national scale. They have only been 1-A ball for 15 years! Before he became Head Coach they were 7-16 their first 2 years in 1-A ball. His 3 years there he won 2 Conference Championships and 2 Bowl games in The Big West. They moved to the WAC and haven't looked back since.

He laid the tracks and those who followed him have kept laying them! Deal with it! If you don't want to give the guy props for starting a winning tradition that has continued for a decade at Boise State that's your fucking problem.

His experiences winning in the Big West mean nothing to me, but I'm glad you are warm and fuzzy about them.

The dude got fired from his next job after 5 years, and demoted from his most recent one.

Warm and fuzzy actually I was just bringing something to your attention because you said the guy wasn't an innovator or anything. He had a hand in that programs rise, tough to deny.

Oh and ASU hasn't won a bowl game since they fired him, Just saying once again. And only 1 winning season since. Koetter had 4 at ASU. Again I'm just saying.

How was Koetter demoted from the Jags? They are new ownership, some foreign guy. Usually when a new owner comes in he wants to start fresh, bring his own guys in. Part of the reason Hue Jackson was fired from Oakland. That's just normal business.

There's coaches who have translated and coaches who haven't. Picking 2 names proves nothing, and you picked 2 guys who didn't stay long enough to even prove either way. If you wanted an easier example look no further than the Seahawks head coach.

I'm just bringing up the guys resume which according to some is crap. I beg to differ.
