Plus, his win/loss record as a college head coach is worse than Koetter's, with one less conference championship and practically the same record in bowl games. Pauly would have blown a head gasket had we hired that guy. Eventually their talent level on offense caught up with them. But I'd invite anybody that wants to study Friedgen's time in San Diego to look at his offensive personnel for 1994 and ask themselves how many coordinators could have made an AFC Conference Champion offense out of that bunch. |

RE: Okay "true Falcons fans", sell me on Koetter
Listening to the conference call, I liked a lot of what he said. I still don't think the Falcons did their due diligence, and I'm still not sold. That said, he seems to be much more open minded than Mularkey, and I appreciate that. I'm going to remain skeptical, but I have to accept it. At least he seems to be willing to attempt to add the elements a lot of us want.

And, yet, he doesn't get the pass that Friedgen gets, despite having far less to work with. I'm sure Koetter would have been thrilled with just a competent WR to design his offense around, let alone the Pro Bowler that Friedgen had at his disposal. |

So, what other inside info do you got for us? The hostility towards posters that aren't antagonizing you personally isn't called for. Yet that's all you seem to do lately. *MOD EDIT* - Personal attack, even if it was indirect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3CXS04cy...re=related |

I think the guy is probably competent. I thought the Falcons wanted to be great though. |

Sorry, but anybody pounding on the imaginary table exclaiming "We demand answers!" over this hire while accusing the FO of doing something that can't remotely be substantiated deserves to be called out for their overreaction. |
