Listening to the conference call, I liked a lot of what he said. I still don't think the Falcons did their due diligence, and I'm still not sold. That said, he seems to be much more open minded than Mularkey, and I appreciate that. I'm going to remain skeptical, but I have to accept it. At least he seems to be willing to attempt to add the elements a lot of us want.

Precisely what happened to Koetter. And, yet, he doesn't get the pass that Friedgen gets, despite having far less to work with. I'm sure Koetter would have been thrilled with just a competent WR to design his offense around, let alone the Pro Bowler that Friedgen had at his disposal.

Sure...I'll give him a pass. I think the guy is probably competent. I thought the Falcons wanted to be great though.
