On another point the OP mentioned, John Abraham. Abe will be 34 in May before training camp and since he has been with the Falcons he has been a beast! Since 2006, his first year with us he has had 58.5 sacks and 19 FF! Of course as our only stud pass rusher he has always been double teamed and held.

Consider Mario Williams, Super Mario! His first year in the NFL was 2006 also and of course as the Texans stud rusher he has been double teamed as well. In his career he has 53 sacks and 11 FF which is indeed super bu behind Abe's numbers.

Remember, Michael Strahan played until he was 36 and had 9 sacks his last year 2007 and probably could have played longer if he wanted to.
