RE: OMG What a Game
After dominating the first half and coming out flat in the 2nd only to win.... This team is gonna kill me!
Emotions got the better of me ( calling for heads to roll) I think we win next week then on to the bowl!
A lot of pressure off of us for sure. We are going to dominate !!!

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!

RE: OMG What a Game
I think we got cocky.

20-0 at the half and that makes you cocky.
We THOUGHT for sure that monkey was off our back before the 2nd half started.

I believe we learned our lesson.

The left too much time. 31 seconds.

Quizz gets it to the 30.

Re: OMG What a Game
Remember earlier in the year you heard all this talk about how winning all those close games was a bad thing. My take was those are exactly the types of games that will pay dividends in the post season. Today is proof positive.

I have no doubt that played a huge role in their ability today to overcome literally and by far the biggest adversity and the most amount of pressure that every coach and player on the team had experienced in their career. I guarantee in every one of their minds they thought about the coming shitstorm. But they had their experience to fall back on, so thank God for the Oakland game, the first Carolina game...

RE: OMG What a Game
Exactly juraitwaluzka. I even said after the TD, "Well, we know they can do it." and was calm. I'm sure the team had the same feeling. "This sucks, but we can still change it. We've done more with less."

This team, and Matt Ice (his EARNED nickname), proved they are clutch. It was great to see the world see what we know they are, and not this "0-3" facade they created.

I agree with the heart attack thing, though. I sure felt that playoff win on many levels.

Who else was begging for them not to call the last TD a fumble and put the ball on the one, taking our 31 seconds away? Smile

Re: OMG What a Game
Yeah exactly, I was terrified the refs would screw that up and we would get the ball back with 2 seconds.

I'd be lying if I said I knew we would pull it out, but when we got the ball I knew we would have our chance.

This kinda reminds me of the 1998 divisional game against SF, didn't we get out to a lead but then have to hold off a rally? Obviously not to the extent of today but I remember going through the same high, low, high emotional roller coaster.

RE: OMG What a Game
All I can say is wow....they played so great and then in the 4th....all of a sudden it was like they went ultra conservative....we didn't use no huddle all day and I thought that would have helped....we just can't afford to let teams come back if Seattle had managed the clock better at the end they would have won.....but Smitty called that first time out...I think he knew what was going to happen.....

Some game...I think SF is due for a let down game (look at their pattern this year) and honestly I know we can play better down the stretch of a game....but all that matter is the W.....We won we need 2 more games and that is it...

So Happy for Tony G! This is his year for to lift the trophy!!!!

Honestly I think if he doesn't call that time out Bryant actually would have made the FG.....I have noticed when he takes a practice shot many times he misses it (I think it is his pattern....if I miss the freeze out one I will hit the real one!)

Just my opinion...but I think he does it on purpose.
