RE: OH NO --- Sam Baker
didn't Baker lose his starting position when Weiner came in back in 08? or was he on IR then?

Yeah, because Kelvin Hayden in a walking boot is a much better option.

It's like how Peria Jerry keeps starting over Corey Peters and keeps getting more snaps than Vance Walker. Oh, wait...

Three pages of people bitching and moaning about something that has no chance of happening. Svitek is locked in as long as he is healthy.

You would understand why folks would not be too thrilled about losing Hayden right?

Yes. He was also benched due to poor performance in '09, I believe.

No, I don't understand. What, is Owens bad or something? Confused

The point is that the coaching staff had no choice but to play Owens over Hayden. They have a choice when it comes to Svitek/Baker.

I agree on both partner and that is the use of perfect logic. These guys are just scared that Harvin is going to abuse Owens. LOL!!! Ownes isn't bad, he's in the wrong system. He's another man/press guy like Houston and Robinson.

I think that is as much a certainty as Svitek starting over Baker on Sunday.

Thats an absolute and just something we have to deal with. This was why I wasn't high on grabbing Hayden. Been watching the Colts a long time and he could be just as much a rumor as Sanders.

Robinson was abused in Houston in their press man scheme. Robinson has actually played well the last several weeks in our system. A lot of people forget that he was injured prior to the season, and that probably had an effect on his performance.

Concerning Owens, I don't buy that the system is what is messing with him. He's been abused in every way possible. Man coverage, zone coverage, you name it. Unless he has some sort of other-worldly ability to just keep receivers from getting up field with his press, he's going to continue to get burned.

Concerning Houston. People are really over rating his play with the Lions. A few picks that land in his hands and a few nice plays, which he made while he was here every now and then, and now people think he's turned into a Pro Bowler. He's improved, but he hasn't just pulled a complete 180 after leaving us. He's been burned plenty of times.
