Notable 2013 FA's available
After releasing Edwards and looking at our FA's for 2013, it appears the Falcons are going to have a TON of space under the cap after this season.

With Edwards($5.5M) gone, if Tony($5.9M), Turner($7.5M), Grimes($10.4M), and McClure($1M) don't re-sign, we're going to be upwards of $30M under the cap. And that's a lot of money we can throw at the FA market.

The cap for 2013 is $121M. We're currently at $119.5M if you include Grimes franchise tag.

FA's of note that will be available:

RB Jackie Battle, Det
RB Reggie Bush, Mia
RB Ronnie Brown, SD
RB Shonn Green, NYJ
RB Steven Jackson, Stl
RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Jax (not really "available", but he'll be an UFA, so there's a chance. He may WANT to leave.)
RB Isaac Redman, Pit
RB Kevin Smith, Det
RB LaRod Stephens-Howling, Ari
RB Felix Jones, Dal

TE Martellus Bennett, NYG
TE Jason Witten, Dal (not likely)
TE Dustin Keller, NYJ
TE Fred Davis, Was
TE Jared Cook, Ten

OT Jake Long, Mia
OT Duane Brown, Hou
OT Sebastian Vollmer, NE
OT Ryan Clady, Den
OT Jermon Bushrod, NO
OT Andre Smith, Cin

OG Andy Levitre, Buf

DE Cliff Avril, Det
DE Connor Barwin
DE Dwight Freeney, Ind

CB Marcus Trufant, Sea
CB Sam Shields, GB
CB Jason McCourty, Hou
CB Aqib Talib, TB
CB Tracy Porter, Den

LB Anthony Spencer, Dal
LB James Laurinaitis, Stl
LB Erin Henderson, Min
LB Larry Foote, Pit
LB Manny Lawson, Cin

I think Cliff Avril should be priority #1.

Then I really wouldn't mind picking up Andy Levitre and Sebastian Vollmer and possibly one of the decent RB's, like Shonn Green.

Fred Davis and Manny Lawson are options IMO too. Not that we could get all these guys, but I think everyone I'm mentioning would fit on our team.

It would be interesting seeing Reggie Bush as our primary RB as well.

we can draft a RB and TE in 2nd and 3rd round. maybe spending our first on a DE or CB?

Then we will see how Dent turn out this year. if he keep on struggling then go ahead a draft a MLB or go after on during FA..

with that said i dont think we will bring in more than two big name FAs. we can continue building through the draft.

and what about DT? i think we might let either Jerry or Walker go to sign some one bigger to beef up that middle of the line.

We're just striaght up getting dominated in that area. We need some big DT to eat up some space.

Dream list:

MJD (Might have a real chance if he was close with Koetter in JAX)
Jared Cook (As athletic as any TE in the league)
Ryan Clady (plays RT, Clabo at RG, Konz at C.)
Connor Barwin(Can play like Bierman, versatile pass rusher)

Reggie Bush and Connor Barwin. That's my dream. I don't care that Bush has stupid injuries. He's shown some ridiculous potential lately, and he's running great in Miami this season. Connor Barwin is a stud.

The guys I put in red are the ones I expect to either resign with their team or to get hit with the franchise tag. Another thing to remember is we still have to pay 4.5 million of guaranteed money towards the cap for Edwards in 2013. Still, looking at the remaining players, I still believe we could make a run at a couple of guys.

RE: Notable 2013 FA's available
We don't need MJD. He's already 27 years old with 1500 carries under his belt. Right now he has some serious foot injury. He will demand too much money and in two years we will be in the same boat we are in now. The only way this team pulls the trigger on him is if we don't win the Super Bowl and the win now mentality kicks in.

That will decide a lot of resignings and releases. Players will chose to leave to go somewhere they want once they get a ring.

Our best bet at RB is already here. I think Quizz and his style will work great in our offense. It's like when Jamal Anderson was backing up Ironhead in the mid 90's everyone knew he was the better back but the coaching staff.

I reckon he starts this week and our offense gets a lot faster.

I can't see Barwin hitting Free Agency but I'd be interested if he did. Thing is we don't want an influx of FAs that cost us signing our own guys in the future

Which of these guys are the most injury ridden? Because that's who TD will likely sign.
