RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway
Im just trying to not let games like this upset me so much anymore. Im almost expecting it now. I think we can all agree that we cant play good football for 60 minutes. We can dominate for 30 minutes, but then the 3rd Quarter always happens.

This is the key Jedi.

The tired theatrics of making angry posts after every game, win or lose, is something you would think fans would grow out of. Apparently not Falcons fans. Big Grin

I was very pleased with how we looked in the first half. Bad injuries to start, worse as the game progressed; we just could not pull out the win against the defending champs. There is still quite a bit of football to be played. With Tampa losing in spectacular fashion we are still keeping pace. Hopefully the Saints hit a slide mid-season and we start stringing together a streak. Wink

EDIT: I expected us to win but understand that GB is no joke.

NFC South Champs and SB bound?

What has changed? We lost to the Bears, TB, and GB and suddenly we are bottom feeders. Come on man...

i do have a problem with HOW we lost this game - getting conservative with the lead, going zone heavy in the 2nd half, giving up on the run, etc.

Exactly. I'd almost rather just get demolished than know that we had the talent and game plan to beat them, maybe even embarrass them, but we took our foot off the gas and they made us pay. I'm so sick of that soft defense after halftime, Van Gorder has to go. I don't think he will because Smith has the same flaw that Jim Mora had. Too much loyalty to his assistants. I just hope the choice is taken out of his hands.

It is going to come to that, eventually. Hopefully, we come out of the other side smelling like roses. Hopefully; doubtful it will happen that way though.

So it's the Gregorian calender system holding us back.

the 3-3-5 is what annoys me most. You just can't do that against a guy as accurate as Rodgers. If you give him that much time, he will find someone 90% of the time. That kind of shit only works in college, were QBs aren't accurate. Not to mention, its like are guys are told to not even react until some one catches the ball.

Which is why it is a common defensive formation in the NFL and has been for years?
