RE: My annual Fuck Chris Collinsworth thread
I muted the audio after Jonathan Abraham made a tackle at the goal line in the 1st quarter.

RE: My annual Fuck Chris Collinsworth thread
I especially loved the one where Vance Walker was held in a headlock and then tackled and pancaked at the feet of Romo, the refs actually called the holding and it reversed a really big Cowboy's play that would have given them a first down inside our 20, and upon replay Collinsworth says, "I don't know about that one, that looked clean to me, i'll let you decide."
Dallas' center literally held Walker in a choke-hold with his left arm and then tackled him landing on Walker's back as they slammed to the ground. It was one of the most obvious holds I've ever seen. And on the play where Roddy pulled on their corner's arm and prevented an interception (it was clear offensive PI, but they didn't call it), Collinsworth about had a hissy fit. And this came right after the obvious PI's on both Julio and Roddy only several plays prior in which Collinsworth said nothing except they were clean plays and excellent coverage. I was watching the game with my 13 year old daughter and she was like, "Daddy, that guy talking must be a Cowboys fan.", I told her "Nope, he's just a Falcons hater." She now understands what the term "hater" means. It was a good lesson. |

RE: My annual Fuck Chris Collinsworth thread
Whats funny is that I was listening to ESPN radio today and I think it was the Coach or whatever his name was. The dude who used to be in wrestling.
He actually said Collingsworth was pro-Cowboys last night. I just say this because we aint crazy. This is special because the same guy also said he has "Atlanta sports team syndrome" Meaning he doesn't believe in any Atlanta Sports team and then goes on to say that maybe when they are 13-0 like thats something to scoff at. Lol. So he clearly isn't bias. |

RE: My annual Fuck Chris Collinsworth thread
My personal favorite showing his clear bias was when he called the obvious pass interference against Roddy in the 4th as a good play when the replay showed I can't remember if it was Jenkins or not the Cowboy guy holding Roddy's arms against his body to prevent a catch. Then when Roddy may have held a Cowboy guy to prevent a possible INT Collinsworth went on and on how that was offensive pass interference. I just couldn't believe the double standard being applied.

RE: My annual Fuck Chris Collinsworth thread
And besides the obvious bias, Collingsworth also just sucks. He really doesn't add that much value to the commentary. He blabs on about things too long, eating into what should be coverage of the next play. He issues a lot of overly-hyped praise to endear himself to the fans, and just doesn't deliver much meat.
(In the spirit of the opening post, let me say that instead of delivering meat, he is the one GETTING the meat -- the Cowboy's sausage to be exact -- delivered into his backside). Mike Mayock is a much better commentator than he is. And several others out there are better too. |
