My Mock Offseason
so i wont be putting cap Numbers next to players we release/resign etc. no telling what they will make,
so heres a look at what i would do this offseason.

Release/no resign:

Chris Redman(QB)
Jason Snelling(RB)
Antoine Smith(RB
Mike Cox(FB)
Eric Weems(WR)
Reggie Kelly(TE)
Sam Baker(LT)
Kroy Bierman(DE)
John Abraham(DE)
Peria Jerry(DT)
Carlton Powell(DT)
Mike Peterson(OLB/retires)
Brent Grimes(CB)
Kelvin Hayden(CB)
Thomas Decoud(FS)

Resign:
Harry Douglas(WR)
Tony Gonzales(TE/already resigned)
Michael Palmer(TE)
Todd McClure©
Vance Walker(DT)
Curtis Lofton(MLB)
James Sanders(SS)

Free Agents added

David Garrard(QB)
Martellus Bennet(TE)
Jared Gaither(LT)
Ben Grubbs(OG)
Dwight Freeny(colts switching to 3-4, freeny doesnt want to stand up, he is released we sign him)
Trevor Laws(DT)
Manny Lawson(OLB)
Rashean Mathis(CB)
Michael Huff(could b release by Oak, would b a great addition)
if not Huff, MIchael Griffin(FS)

Players i think could b traded:
Michael Turner(RB)if we can get a 3rd round wich i think we do, from KC
Stephen NIcholas. with signing Lawson Nic becomes expandable traded for a 4th

Draft(not including projected trades)
(2nd)David Wilson(RB)
(3rd)Brandon Boykins(CB)
(5th)Frank Alexander(DE)
(6th)Russel Wilson(QB)
(7th)Devon Wylie(WR)

Just my toughts. im sure ill have critics ha i would like to see what people think.

RE: My Mock Offseason
There are a lot of ways around this off season. I happen to see quality and value in Snelling. I'd prefer him over your draft choice. We will be passing much more and I'd like to know what I have in a RB. Snelling does everything well (except for long speed) and would be an ideal RB in our new offense.

Bennett drops too many passes. I am not sold on him. Why not wait for next year's very good TE crop?

Huff is better than DeCoud. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

I think that Douglas will get a lot of attention and would be a little too expensive for us. I think we had bettter keep Weems.

Freeney is interesting, but Mathis is cheaper and plays the run better. They are both very good pass rushers, so I would not argue against either one.

I understand the OL attention, but I think that TD will look at LT only. I think that he will sign McClure to a two year deal and let a full camp decide who will win the RG spot between Jackson, Johnson and Clabo. I get the feeling we will find a pretty good RT in the second round. Hawley should compete against McClure.

I understand the Gerrard choice. I wonder if he is any better than Redman.

RE: My Mock Offseason
thanks for your input, i think garrard would come in as a back up due to his connection with Kotter, The TE signing coul wait i haven payed attention to the TE group next season. n i b happy with either MAthis or Freeny, Snelling i think walks this offseason. n i agree on Douglas as well but we might not bring back either n see what Meir truly can do also have Cone.

RE: My Mock Offseason
we need a vet QB in case Ryan goes down. Redman is just fine in that role until he retires after the super bowl win....oops did i let that out....

RE: My Mock Offseason
First off Rashean Mathis is on my wish lioo many coming off an ACL he had in I think November and he is over 30 there are too many questions to have him going into the season as our primary number 1 or 2 corner. Now if you are thinking Franks is ready for that roll and Mathis is just there to push the yougsters okay.

I would rather sign a blocking TE if we are going to keep a 3rd guy. I would bring in Hartsock instead of bringing back Palmer.

I would like to see Gaither and Grubbs but I think it will be either or and a second tier freeagent at the other position. Grubbs and Starks/Mcneill (2 guys coming off injury could come cheap with incentive contracts) or Gaither and a guy like Vernon Carey.

We may not be going to a 3-4 full on but I think being scheme diverse may be a turn-off to Freeney if he does not want to play for one in Indy. I hink he would love the fast surface in the dome.
