Yep, I just saw that, awesome video, great insight. So, Mularkey I take it back you still suck at playcalling. The long TD to Julio was Matt's call as well. I think the more Matt has the reigns the better. At some point it's got to just get to that.

Leaving Mularkey out of it, the thing that stands out to me is on both plays, Ryan saw what he wanted at the line and changed the route to reflect what he wanted to do based on the defensive alignment.

So the thing I take away from this is Ryan is WAAAYYYY more valuable to our team than the idiot trolls would have you believe. He is literally responsible for 14 points in that game, not because he made a good throw, but because he got us in a favorable position to hit 2 big plays.

And you clearly have an agenda to coddle Malarkey's ballsack while calling anyone who even slightly detests the guy a "clown". Don't go thinking you're better here just because you ignorantly lump everyone who questions MM into one big lynch-mob.

Dave Archer has been asked by Mike Bell to explain our whole offensive process and not only am I certain he knows 1000x more than you do, but he makes you and your ramblings sound like you're a bafoon talking out your ass.

Matt is in every offensive game plan meeting and he has a huge part in play design. Going into no-huddle is a group decision that can be recommended by Smith, MM, or Ryan, but Matt has the power to simply enter/start/end it if he sees an opportunity or needs to address something in the huddle. The microphones in the helmets get shut off when the game clock hits 15 seconds (a highly enforced league rule), and Matt has the entire play book open to his read and the call is his and his alone. On top of that, he can alter routes and even tell linemen which direction to shift or block and tell RBs a completely different hole to run through.

Mularkey has been minimized to a huge degree and if you use logic and ask yourself why is that the case, you'll realize it's because he wasn't doing a good job when it was 100% all on his shoulders and he was making all the calls. If that was working, it wouldn't have changed. Ryan has far more control than MM does anymore. Actual control. MM can pre-scheme all he wants, but Matt is running the vast majority of the show and altering plays off reads out of MMs design.

Does that mean MM needs to be fired? No, he just needs to accept he has much less power and stop trying take over and just become a resource of advice for Matt and just let Matt do his thing. Matt is a better OC than MM at this point.

The problem I have with the people who bash on MM is that every time Matt audibles to a play that doesn't work, which is extremely often, MM gets blamed for it. That just doesn't make any sense to me.

Let's be honest. Matt Ryan runs the offense. If it works, he should get the credit. When things don't work, he should get the blame.
