I would like to see more pro sets (Ryan under center, 2 RB in the backfield side by side) and 2 back sets out of shotgun when Turner is in the game. Let Ryan have the option to audible in these situation, if it looks like the D is going to crash down, run off tackle with one of the backs. In shotgun formation, it would also allow Turner to stay in as a blocker and let the other RB slip out as a hot read. I get where you are coming from, I think this is what we wanted when having Ewing and Rogers in the back field. Both able to catch both able to pass block also. The way I imagined it is when having Matt under center in pro or back in shotgun that we could have Roddy Gonzo Julio out on routes and depending on the reads 1 or 2 backs running routes or pass blocking it allows for far less precitability here when you can both pass and run at will from the same formation. I really hope next yeat that Ewing comes backl strong and that we pick up another back to replace Turner and between the new back and Jacquizz I know that the predicatibility factor of our offense would drop. |
