RE: Mike Smith, By The Numbers
There are always going to be dumbasses as few months back talking nonsense. Even now, there are some that a few months from now we can look back on.

The irony is even a perfect season would have people saying, "Yeah, but..."

RE: Mike Smith, By The Numbers
I wasn't one of those people, but if we had a bad season and missed the playoffs, I think Smitty would have been on the hot seat a bit. Blank wasn't effing around after last season.

But given how this season has started, I think it would take an EPIC flameout in the playoffs for Smitty to even be questioned, much less on the hot seat. The changes he has made seem to be working better than anyone could have hoped. Whatever questions anyone had about Smith after the Giants game, IMHO, have been erased.

RE: Mike Smith, By The Numbers
I've always liked Smitty. He affirmed it for my by getting in D Halls face.

It's MM and BVG I didn't like. But, they were what we needed to rebuild the franchise. The problem was, I don't believe the coaches were ready for us to be that good out the gate. Maybe in 4 years or so, but not the first season.
