this - he's been inactive all 3 games so far hasn't he? what about, 'we'll put the best men out there', so someone who hasn't even been activated yet this year is suddenly the best one to put out there? i have to question it personally

before the flaming starts, i have to admit i was excited about drafting him off the line of the team that won it all that year. I think he will make us a damn good lineman. maybe it is the TC injury that's held him back, i hope that's it. I want the line FIXED! i'm certainly looking forward to seeing what this offense could produce if Matt actually gets to stay upright

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

A TE on the left side would also help Matty get some time

With the game day roster its a numbers game... Only around 7 O-Lineman are active... The 5 starters and 2 reserves... Svitek is the swing tackle and with McClure being injured we have carried 2 centers (Plus Hawley can play guard if needed) ... Most Likely Reynolds will be inactive this week.

We did that against Tampa. On one of the plays we did that, Ryan got ran over on a strip sack.

It's better than what we've got. We've got to overhaul the line in the offseason.

I'm worried that we are gonna be 6 games into the season before we see any real progress.

RE: Mike Johnson
Lombardi has been known to present assumptions as facts so I would think they would at least wait until after the last practice for the week to decide. I'm not terribly optimistic about starting the 2nd choice for RG but I commend the attitude of creating competition and desperate times call for desperate measures.

God, I sure hope so.

If Johnson can help generate a pocket that Ryan could actually step up into and out of, that'll really help both Ryan and the offense.

WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001

Rest In Peace, Larry. You will be missed.

Heck, it would be nice if Ryan could just take a snap without a linemen letting someone run right through/around them.

This isn't poor offensive line play, this is an all day jail break we're dealing with here. It's downright bad.
