Falcons: Michael Turner Groin

ok a few things here from me.

first off: Norwood was definitely one of my favorite players to watch. hate he turned out so fragile. Looked him up, not showing an injury this year, still shows up as a rams RB, but has only played in 4 games, 11 carries for 40 yards. maybe he's not 100% yet. wonder how much time he gets to spend fishing the Mississippi River....wish him the best of luck.

secondly: if this past offseason showed anything about our backup running backs, it was this. as much as we like snelling, and he seems to be an adequate back up, no one else thought enough of him to offer him either the kind of money he wanted or the starting position. I like Judge Snells, really i do, but i don't think he's a permanent replacement for turner.

turner is getting up there. i would really like to see us using more quizz and snelling and letting MT rest a little more. thing is, at least to me, it seems he NEEDS the carries in a 'get warmed up' kinda way. although maybe i'm remembering 2008 more than i should be. he seemed to get stronger as the game went on (maybe it was just the D getting tired and weaker as the game went on) now he seems to me to wear down as the game goes on. if i knew how to look up the stats by quarter maybe i would know instead of guessing.

either way, i think if we want to keep a ground and pound type offense, we need to start looking at a replacement bruiser RB
