Matt Ryan on Dirk Koetter Via John Lynch
I was just rewatching the game and heard John Lynch say something that I missed during the live broadcast. John Lynch asked Matt Ryan what he likes best about working with Koetter and Ryan's response to Lynch was "he keeps doing whatever is working. He could care less about balance. He's going to do what works and not do something else just for the sake of doing it."

That sounds like the total opposite of Mularkey.

Thats the thing with Mularkey, he can't get to the position he is in and be Vince Young dumb. But he is very stubborn, and I'm pretty sure all our frustrations with him were the end result of that.

Yep. Mularkey is an ego maniac. Koetter isn't. It's coaches like Mularkey who often fail in the most critical of times because they refuse to adjust because they have the "it's my way or the highway attitude."
