Clearly you guys have forgotten about the multiple 1 yard stops our D has already made this year. I can count 4 already.

I will admit that our abject failure on offense in key 4th down attempts over the past few years may have me feeling a bit gun shy. The pinnacle may just have been the QB sneak out of the 5 WR formation.

No. But I'm also not ignoring that the Panthers rushed for 199 yards in the game. We couldn't stop them. And it wasn't like they would be going with a potiential QB sneak with someone such as a Peyton Manning or Matt Ryan. But Cam Newton.

LOL, he and I said much of the same things. Pretty funny.

We had no timeouts left and their D was playing their best game ever.
Yes, they had some missed tackles, but overall, their D was performing really well.

And to have the ability to pin a team inside their own 10 with 1 min to go give the D a better chance of holding the offense.

All we needed was a fieldgoal. So to punt and eliminate the run and just play pass D is the way to go.

I agreed with the punt as well. Because if Cam doesn't get the 1 yard, then we are just 20 yards away from field goal position.

You dont expect your defense to give up a 60 yard pass. Thats the ridiculous part and not the coaching decision.

This goes on Cam and the defense, specifically the Panthers safety.

But honestly this reminds me of how the Saints won in their championship. It always seemed like the other team made a stupid mistake at a crucial time and the Saints capitalize on it.

It also happened that in that same year a team in the AFC South (Colts) was having a great year and headed to the Super Bowl.

Is it deja vu with a switch of teams? NFC South team (Falcons) and AFC South team (Texans) meet in the playoffs after being the #1 and #1 team in the NFC and AFC respectively with the NFC South team winning?

Wasnt there another NFC team that year running srride for stride with the Saints similar to the Cardinals? We may be on to something people.
