I will say that I believe that is Jenkins strength. He is a miracle worker going towards the sideline. He's had some amazing catches against some amazing circumstances. I'm interested to see where he lands.

I'll never understand that dude. He had great measurables and the ability to do great things, he could never get it all together though or play consistently well. Maybe the Mora regime ruined his mindset kind of like the bengals and browns are notorious for destroying the careers of countless #1 picks.

RE: MM and his bland play calling
Our offense was so ridiculously predictable and vanilla, so 2-dimensional because everybody knew Turner was running the ball inside the tackles on first and second down, then we were throwing to Roddy or Gonzo on 3rd and 7. I mean when my 10 year old is sitting next to me calling out the play we're going to run and she's right about 80% of the time, you know the professionals on the other team know what's coming.

This year it has to be different simply because we have the personel to do other things. It's that simple. Last year we didn't have a change of pace back and we had nobody other than Roddy to help spread defenses out. MM was forced to run a predictable ball-control scheme and pray our talent was better than theirs.

Having Julio on the field with Roddy, Gonzo, and a healthy HD, plus Quizz lined up in the backfield at the same time, nobody is going to have a clue what we do. How could they at that point. Defenses are going to have to spread out and cover deep. It's going to open up the run, short pass, and force single coverage miss-matches all over the place along with much larger running lanes in general.

MM is going to feel like a kid with an All-Madden allstar team video game.

My thoughts exactly Beef. So predictable it makes me cry.

If the playcalling doesn't change then we will continue to fight an uphill battle. We won too many games last year at the last minute. I'm glad we can step up like we did, but you should have to rely on a missed field goal or a Clements strip.

With these new weapons I also believe that this should become Turners most productive year for YPA. Stacking the box should no longer be an option on every play.

Sad this off-season seems weird, where are the rapid reports like this?

RE: MM and his bland play calling
If you can put a Safety over Roddy, plus single Jenkins and then not have to worry about your WRs, then it allows you to drop the other safety to either cover TG or stop the run in the box. The upgrade of JJ, just blew this plan of defense out of the water, because if you drop the safety and JJ or Roddy, ie whoever is singled, breaks free of the CB who will likely be smaller and weaker, then it is a TD. We now have the people to make defenses pay for double on Roddy and dropping the safety to stop the run, something Jenks never really did. I also hope the removal of Dahl improves the pass protection so Ryan has a chance to scan the field and find the best guy, without having to just throw it on step 3 and hope Roddy or TG can make a play.

Ignorance can be educated.....Stupidity is to the bone.

RE: MM and his bland play calling
I'm not worried about the play calling. Mularkey knows that if this offense with this personnel group doesn't vastly improve in YPA, YPR and YAC this season, then the only one left to blame will be him.

RE: MM and his bland play calling
Julio and Roddy will make it hard for teams to stack the box against Turner. I expect to see a lot more 4-5 WR formations and more checkdowns to a healthy scatback that can catch the ball in space and turn on the speed.
