Since then if I disagreed, I would say I disagree and then move on to wait and see. None of the this is a dumb hire, our team is doomed, I'm leaving this team, etc.

For example I disagreed with this hire. Both sides make some sort of sense, but the most sense have honestly come from the people who like the hire.

The things that sticks out to me is an interview for an HC job at one point. Then it was in Denver with John Elway being a part of the hiring process. A guy who knows a thing or two about offense. Ask the 98 Falcons.

But still I went to wait and see.
I was a Glenn Dorsey guy, and Ryan proved me wrong and I will proudly admit it. I'm over the Koetter hire, but people need time to think about these things, and message boards exist for people to vent and talk about concerns.Of course the first couple days people are going to freak, I just don't get why people get their panties in a wad when people vent on the internet. (not claiming you were)

I've been living in self pity the last week or so, but this... this gives me hope.

I wouldn't say I get "my panties in a wad" but I absolutely despise when people use the internet, an anonymous social medium, to vent. You do have a point about the attitude of the post-season press conference, and it could have been misleading if you didn't take everything that was said with a grain of salt.

Typically, venting means a negative, knee-jerk reaction. What that translates to, for me, is a post that was made without much critical thought behind it while being emotionally charged. I don't enjoy those types of posts and will do everything I can to refute them. Sometimes, I can resist replying to them on the basis that I know my post will be ignored/wasted, but I still WANT to reply on principle alone.

That being said, I hope Dirk can make you a believer next season Paulitik. Smile

Or how about the ones who just camp out and spout negativity just for the sake of being negative. They take any positive and spin it into a negative. Those are the types that just AMAZE me. I could write a paper on the psyche of that type of character disorder. I know some people do it to get a rise out of some, but getting pleasure out of doing that on a daily basis on a football board is, well, pretty sociopathic.

Makes you want to write them a prescription for a Xanax the size of a football.

"TOUCHDOWN! MY GOD, A TOUCHDOWN! WE THREW IT TO HAYNES! WE JUST STUFFED THEM WITH FIVE SECONDS LEFT! MY GOD ALMIGHTY, DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID? DAVID GREENE JUST STRAIGHTENED UP AND WE SNUCK THE FULLBACK OVER! … WE JUST STEPPED ON THEIR FACE WITH A HOBNAILED BOOT AND BROKE THEIR NOSE! WE JUST CRUSHED THEIR FACE!" - Larry Munson broadcast UGA vs Tenn, 2001

Rest In Peace, Larry. You will be missed.
GO DAWGS! HUNKER DOWN!

Those are called trolls. I don't think I would even give them the honor of being called sociopaths, this is the internet after all.

The majority of them are just people who have no other meaningful activities going on in their life and prefer to be nuisances online in order to fill that void. A smaller group are just fucking idiots with an IQ less than a box of rocks and don't know any better. The anonymity one can achieve on the internet allows this type of mentality to be commonplace, unfortunately.

The sad part is that its not just football forums. The more active, socially, you are online the quicker you realize that these type of people make up a significant portion of users; they infest every known corner of the internet. It is sad and speaks volumes about the human condition when all accountability is removed from the equation. God save them all, but I wish they would get the fuck off my internet with that nonsense.

RE: MIKE NOLAN!!!!
I love the hiring of Nolan, its really going to depend if Abe retires or not, but I bet were going to do 4-3 and be more like a hybrid 4-3 where it can go to a 3-4 but in the end, I bet were going 3-4. Smile Because thats his specialty and also we have players that would be perfect for a 3-4 Kroy Bierman would be a perfect OLB and Spoon too, Lofton and nicholas on the inside and they could use Babs as as a DE, but at the same time, We have to get a 365 LB Nose tackle maybe not this year but in the next, but I bet its going to depend alot on what Abe does. And if he stays it will probably be for just one year. His stock is dropping and the price tag too because of his age. But we have to go to the 3-4 its time. Smile Even if its a hybrid till we get the players.

Not happy about the OC, because others were out there, but Ive read his past and sounds good. He was on a Shitty team. But I like what he did a AZ state. We can only hope he can do a hell of a lot more with the weapons we got, because the Jags had Drew, Mrecedes Lewis and thats about it.

I'm just so happy BVG is GONE, no more obvious Blitzing situations and watching 3 players go, to this day, I thought he was a College DC which he was good trying to do that on a NFL team and that doesn't work. Also the Rah rah shit gets old. Wink
