i guess the burning question for the rest of us fans of SEC teams, do y'all have the personell to play the 3-3-5 defense? cause we all know that's what y'all gonna be running, i heard that the rest of the SEC teams are planning specific offenses to put themselves in 3rd and long, cause they know a BVG team tends to give that up a lot

Yes we have a new OC and DC. I don't remember if BVG used the 3-3-5 scheme at UGA or not, but despite what bitter UGA fans like to grumble, he was a damn fine DC there and got alot of production out of guys that weren't highly touted blue chip recruits.

I sure do.

Joseph Fauria - 4.82
Jake Stoneburner - 4.78
Philip Lutzenkirchen - 4.76
Michael Williams - 4.82
Ryan Griffin - 4.78

Also, the TE from Notre was Tyler Eifert, so markdzul was correct. He's 6'6", 249 pounds. His stats for the last 2 seasons are 90 catches for 1155 yards and 7 TDs.

sorry drake i couldn't help myself! LMAO i'm not a bitter GA fan, i actually hated it when he left GA, his head coaching stint didn't work out so well, but he did have a decent D at GA. his time in the pros though, well, i don't have to explain that one

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

If we can get him I'd love Manti Te'O in 1st and one of theses TEs in the second. Chances are that won't happen, but we could be placed to get the best TE on the board. Also if I'm right would we be getting a conp pick in the Lofton in 3rd if we don't sign anyone.

Draft next year is going to give us a lot of firepower.

I like TE's that block well, run good routes and catch the ball (always). I don't care much about speed or deep threats. That is what WR's are for.

True, they don,t have to blow the lid off s D if they refined in the other aspects of the game. E.g tony Gonzalez. It's quite possible who ever we get will be inherit the responsibility of attacking the line backers and taking advantages of mismatches in the under nice rage and up to 20 yards down field in the seam, along with the running backs out of the backfield.

Need one of each. One who can do everything, like you say...and one who can block better than a receiver, but is fast enough to stretch the seam. Either that, or you need a Colston or Shipley type you can play in the slot...tall enough to go up and get the ball, but fast enough to split the seam.

Personally, I'm a very big fan of 2TE sets where both guys can catch. It lets you have a very solid front for the run, but also easily be able to put 4 guys out in routes quickly.
