In fact, Falcons receivers haven't really been open for two years, IMO. It's more Ryan throwing his receivers open in tight windows for short gains. Sick of that shit.Yeah, I've had that gripe too. Too many times where we're forced to throw to tight windows... Invest in the trenches with high draft picks and we will see both sides of the ball vastly improve.

RE: Like last year
the smoke and mirrors routine has worn off.
our qb is very accurate, but he is more conservative than accurate. he is the total yes man instead of a stud. not a knock on him, but he isn't an elite guy. the schedule is not easy this year, and we dont face the absoluet worst qb's in teh league again. luck is not on our side so far. the turnovers we could have had- we should have had. this team is exactly like last years, except we dont have the same pieces in the trenches- where the game is won and lost. we used 5 picks on Julio and we spent some major coin the last 2 seasons on fA in edwards and robinson- who both were invisible. robinson is getting worse and worse every year. his one good year was as a rookie and he has gone down from there. our saftey play was pathetic, and the fundamentals of tackling and pursuing totally lacked today-thats on the coaches. we will be lucky to have a winning season this year, and the good fortune from last year really isnt there this year, tough schedule and no lady luck on our side. |
