Falcons Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals

RE: Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals
People take interviews to keep their names in the conversation, and network for the future.
Taking an interview is a formality that helps your connections, not a guarantee someone wants to leave (or will).

I doubt anything from these interviews will affect us.

I'm more concerned with how teams keep taping into TD's stable of management guys!

We have a good enough team for people to want coordinator jobs. Plus if we were to lose both our current coordinators then it'd show how well coveted the spots our.

MM didn't do well but he's also had nothing to work with. If he stays around then they should get better.

Yeah I guess it's time to worry when they stop calling.

How would anyone feel about Norv Turner coming here as OC?

Norv Turner is a crappy Head Coach but an excellent OC. I would welcome him with open arms. Mike Nolan is more valuable to us because our defensive personnel lags behind our offensive guys. Is Zimmer available?

Cincy gave him a contract extension back in July that last through 2014.

Per falcons facebook page, Koetter has decided to stay with falcons and not pursue HC positions.

ROCK ON now if we can just keep NOLAN all will be well in the house of the Falcons!

Personally, I think the players will respond positively knowing they don't have to think about relearning new schemes.....just pray we can talk Nolan into staying for a couple of years more Smile

Nice 2 year extension. Now hopefully Coach Nolan remembers that he has something to build here. He hasn't left a team after a year to the best of my memory. Also Nolan said himself he enjoyed DC more the HC. That being said we all have aspirations and have to face our challenges. I don't think there is another guy who could run a D like ours unless its from college or out of the AFC.
