Koetter deserves to be interviewed. There are only 1/3 of the teams needing someone ![]() Anyway, I like him, but if I had to pick between him and Nolan, I'm keeping Nolan. I don't believe Nolan would want to believe at this time anyway.

No coach should be allowed any contact with any team until their team is out of the playoffs!!!!!!! I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't! |

RE: Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals
Tell the truth I would rather us go with younger c's. there is less opportunity for this. Teams do this to fuck with one another as well. There is a lot of gamesmanship. I do think it is bullshit that the C's can interview for jobs when they are in the playoffs but its something we got to deal with.
I would like it if we could retain at least one of the OC/ DC that we have already. Maintain continuity on one side of the ball. Disappointed though. We didn't bring these guys in for a year in year out deal. That was known we don't make hires for short term. It is what it is. At this point I really don't care. Truly you have to go with unknown or promote from within to build anything long term or with continuity. That's how teams like the steelers and Ravens and pats have thrived. I think if we lose Nolan we keep Joe Danna. Lose Koetter bring in someone else from outside. |

RE: Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals
This sucks...but I am seriously hoping they don't settle. The Eagles would be a terrible job to go into....just my opinion...I am kind of hoping they will take one more year with ATL.....I never understood if the coordinators are playing well and enjoy where they are....I don't know why you leave for a title.
I was surprised Cam Cameron faltered in Baltimore as OC....he did so well in San Diego in the same job....I think he could use our personnel well..Ryan is what he thought Flacco could be.....I would at least give him an interview if Koetter leaves...as far as DC....we would be in serious hurting there...not sure who I would look for there.... Right now I don't want to think about either leaving.... |

RE: Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals
I am in complete agreement, if a team is still in the playoffs, their coaching staff should not be eligible for any interviews until they are eliminated. Actually, I kind of like the idea of telling teams they cannot conduct interviews until after the Super Bowl. At that point there are still more than 2 months until the draft, during which time there are no practices allowed and teams really are limited to minimal contact due to the CBA. This would also prevent situations where college coaches leave their teams before their bowl games for an NFL job.

Re: Koetter set to interview with Eagles, Browns, and Cardinals
Ideally I would like to have great coordinators that only want to be coordinators. You would've thought Nolan would have learned his lesson. You don't see Lebeau interviewing for example. Some guys just don't make good head coaches but can thrive at a coordinator spot. It almost never works out the second time around, especially when it didn't work the first time.

Josh McDaniels has said he will not interview until after the season ends and his current job is complete.
